Neuroanthropology is the study of culture and the brain. This
field explores how new findings in the brain sciences help us understand
the interactive effects of culture and biology on human development and
behavior.
What I'm working on: Neuroanthropology, the new science on how social networks, and their connections, impact our health. I'm developing talks, and one on one health conversations, around this new area of health research. We've always known, in the area of weight and food, that our immediate circle of connections influence our choices and decisions. Researchers, Christakis, and Fowler take this to a bigger sociological, even generational perspective.
